Ford Edge Glass Roof Cracked

Ford edge glass roof cracked.

I also have a 2015 edge sport. The crack cannot be felt on top or underneath so it appears to be in a middle layer of the glass. There is even a class action against ford in the usa for it. Insurance has had to replace twice.

After a few days when i opened the shade the roof was cracked in a pattern that started near the front of the window and then worked its way back for about 12 inches headed right another 12 inches then back to the front of the window. The 2016 ford edge has 7 problems reported for vista roof glass cracked. Ford has denied claim. Average repair cost is 1 340 at 30 600 miles.

Has anyone had a similar problem. Average repair cost is 2 000 at 14 000 miles. I called ford today to make an appointment for 8 8. Just got pulled my 2018 edge titanium out of my garage and today noticed a crack in the back half of my panoramic sunroof the entire top of my roof is glass.

My 2017 ford edge sport s vista roof front glass has been replaced 2 times in the first 6 months of ownership due to cracking. I have had my car approximately 3 months. There are no apparent stone chips or marks indicating damage anywhere on its travel. Ford knows they have a problem but refuse to admit it.

I had the roof closed and the shade drawn due to the heat. Just google ford edge roof glass cracked and look at the cases. Link to post share on other sites. My glass roof has developed a circular crack from one edge.

It starts on one side under the mounting travels roughly circular returning to the start point. Ford edge 5 out of 5 stars 1 1 product ratings 2007 2014 ford edge mkx rear right passenger side door glass dd11140ypn. I would have thought it would be a manufacturing issue as well as no stone chip or impact can be seen on it. No exterior chips or damage.

Dealer has told me its not covered under warranty unless it was leaking which it is not.
